To build a skateboard that rides like a surfboard, you need to start by looking at a surfboard. Surfboards have a simple design: a flat plane with fins in the rear. website uptime . This simple design allows a rider to rotate their upper body, pivoting off of the fins to perform turns, while the free unlimited motion of the front allows the rider to slide the board left to right to pump for speed. SwellTech SurfSkate built their longboard around this style of movement. The rear truck acts as a pivot point allowing a rider to use their upper body to pull the board into turns, while the 360* rotating front truck allows the rider to face the board in any chosen direction and pump for speed.     Where is a VIDEO of the front truck showing us exactly how it spins? Why just a photo?

    I’m a kid and don’t have enough money to afford a whole board and my parents won’t get it for me, can I buy just the front truck?

    Is there a way to just get the trucks?

      Hey Meghan,
      We don’t sell just the trucks because our trucks are larger than normal and only fit our unique screw hole pattern in our decks. Also, our trucks need a specific wheelbase length and a large tail or they will not work correctly. For these reasons we only sell completes.
